Also the mechanic at the local nissan dealer here, said he will swap it out for $1000, that means im looking at $3000-$3500 just incase more parts are needed!

The ECU won't work unless you change the harness too.

Ok, let me start from the beginning. $1600 for the engine isn't bad. I can get them for $1500 plus shipping.

You won't be able to use the ECU, or Tranny. So the engine is really all you will be buying.

You will need to buy a FWD SR tranny. Those can be found for around $500

You will also need several other things such as ECU, axles, and I think motor mounts. As far as the ECU goes, I would just invest in a JWT remapped 95-97 se-r ECU. That's another $600.

You're also going to need to take care of cooling. Figure another couple hundred on upgraded radiator.

Now to the DET part. You will need some sort of downpipe. JGY makes a nice one for $175. Then you're going to need exhaust. You can get a 3" crush bent made at a local shop for around $300. If you go with the BB SR20DET, you can run the TMIC for a little while, being in Florida I don't recommend doing it for long.

To sum it all up. It's not cheap to do a DET swap. ESPECIALLY going from SE to DET. I'm about $3000 into my conversion, and I don't even have the motor in yet. And I have a se-r.
