Suggest a tire?

Ok looking for possibly a 15" or 16" tire.

was originally going to go with Kumho 712's like a lot of ppl but have been reading about their abismal snow performance, I guess they are just a summer tire.

I am looking for something that is more of an all around good performer. Although I probably wont be doing heavy snow driving there will still be the possibility of some with living in the northeast and I have to drive 72 miles to work each day.

What are suggestions on a good all around tire?

anyone have experience with Falken Ziex series in snow or wet?

I have the Falken ZE-502 195-50-15 tires which i only use for spring/summer. Good wet/dry traction and treadwear, but a bit noisy on freeway speeds. I don't think they would perform to well in the snow...

how have the falken's and kumho's stood up length wise. How many years do you think you'll get out of them?

Do yall just put on steelies in the winter season with snow tires?

I was considering doing this but guess just trying to save myself buying 2 sets of tires.

I actually have the SAME tires and wheels in the summer AND winter. I just drive accordingly in the winter. ALTHOUGH....the Chicago area hasn't had TOO much snow lately. I'm driving on Sumitomo's right now. 205/50/15's

could any of you guys with 15" wheels / tires or even 16" post a pic of them if you got em especially if you have either 195-50R15 or 205-40R16 size. I'm curious how thick the tires really are and having a hard time visualizing.

Thanks

cool thanks, they dont look as thick as i thought they would.

As for the Bridgestone Potenzas well i read great things bout them, unfortunately they seem to cost over $100/tire which is outrageous for me.

I guess i'll have to decide if i am definietely gonna use them for summer/spring only and if i'll just put steelies on in the winter. Then I can just get decent summer tires. Decisions decisions.
