speaker install

our car is a pain in the @$$ to install speakers. i found this out when i tried to do this myself. i finally got my front speakers in but i don't have any rear speaker grills, i'm not sure if this is normal. i've tried installin from the trunk and that doesn't work and i've tried tearing out my rear dek but i always stop in fear of messing something up. any help would be greatly appreciated

dont fear... the rear deck is really easy to rip out. you will not be able to get them out through the trunk. just fold down the rear seat peel back the weatherstrippin on the two back doors and pull the two plastic panels back (be careful not to bust the fasteners) and then just pull up the rear deck. its on with the same white fasteners as the pillar covers. im sure there are pics up on one of the forums.... look on b15sentra.net. i know there has been pics posted.

Yeh, it is relatively simple. I took out my back dash, put in some speaker grills, and covered the back dash with white vinyl. Looks really good, really stands out. There were some instructions on the b15 forum a while back, you might wanna try searching there. If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help ya out. Good Luck.

dont be afraid to rip the back deck out. alot of them are glued to the back windshield so it may take a bit of tugging.

I work at the install bay at Best Buy and I own a 96 200sx se, pain in the ass, your biggest problem on the front is depth you can get a air saw and try cutting that cross member, but I don't think that's a good idea, try making a spacer if you want, if the speakers is more then 2 3/16 inches I think, and the back, you have to yank, i know it sucks but you do, i'd take the plastic retainer rings out that are around seat belts at the top because they become brittle and can break easily.
