I have had this issue forever. Heard the idler pulley is an issue on this car. Replaced it, and it went away for a week and it's back again. I put the idler pulley on with spacer,big washer,pulley, little pulley, bolt. Seems to be in line. Only thing that is near it is the alternator. How can I find the bad pulley? It is hard for me to find since it doesn't constantly squeal.

Sorry but not much to go on.
Tighten the belts some more, mine squeals on start up but otherwise is OK
Try the big screw driver as a stethoscope.
BTW my pathy had an annoying squeak, took it in under warranty and the dealer said needed new belts. When they showed me the belts and engine running it was obvious the squeak was due to a bent pulley BUT they squirted WD-40 over the belt to quite it down and prove to me it was the belt, and the squeak has not come back. worth a try !!!
