i bought my 97 200sx about a month ago

i think the anti-theft system is really messed up on it, the car doesn't have the factory key-less entry and the red anti-theft light beside the steering wheel always blinks.

last week i was driving and pulled in a gas station to fill up, and when i went to start it again nothing happened. the car wouldn't turn over or anything. no noise form the engine. so i had it towed to a mechanic, he couldn't find anything wrong with it. the car even started right up for him. so i took it home and drove it 15 min somewhere and the same thing happened again. so i took it back to the mechanic and he thinks that the car's anti-theft system is preventing it from starting....

anyone have any ideas?

when you go to start it does it click and then you have no lights at all? check your battery cables. make sure they are connected to the terminals good. sometimes they get weak and fall out. if that doesnt work, take the antitheft fuse out if it doesnt even work anyway.

just got it fixed a few days ago, the starter was bad and the anti-theft system was going nuts...
