WIPER ARM NEEDS CLIP...HOW DOES IT GO IN?

My clip that holds the drivers side arm is worn and I had to replace it. Problem was, it seemed impossible to put it. I ended up banging it in with a hammer, but I think I messed it up when I did it. Now it holds the arm, but falls off every once in a while. I will buy another clip and try again. Anyone know how this installs?

Not here. My wiper arm hook clips are in good shape. Can't say that about the black paint which has disappeared to show the silver underneath which can be annoying in certain sunlight.

I just want to know how the freaking thing goes in. Do I need a press?

Okay, way off. I'm not this stupid. I'm taking about under the hood. Take off both arms and the arm that connects to the motor. That clip is bad. How does that clip go in?

Ask for help and insult people. No wonder nobody is helping you--certainly justified. If you're so smart figure it out yourself.

I didn't mean to insult you, but I can if you want me to.

I think you are talking about the arm that connects to the wipers and the wiper motor. If it goes bad,go to a junkyard and get another one from a B14 sentra.Take the wiper blades and wiper blade arms off. Then take off the plastic panel underneath the wiper blade arms. You have to open your doors to get to one bolt that holds this plastic panel.
After you remove the panel, you can see the wiper connecting arm you are talking about.Use a pry bar or something similiar to pry off the plasitc joint where it connects to the motor. Then, just take all the bolts out,and there you go,switch it out.DO NOT use a hammer.
I replaced mine one because the plastic joint in this arm was so worn,it fell off and the driver side wiper quit on me.

You are correct, but you don't need to replace the whole arm. I purchased that plastic round clip for $2.00. Just want to know how to get it in.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I did mine.It seemed like the plastic joint was molded into the arm and had no way to take it out.I just think replacing the whole arm is a much easier job.I bought the whole arm only for $10.

There's a company on ebay that sells brand new after market arms with new clips. Worked like a charm. $20
