Electric cooling motor

1996 Sentra GXE manual with AC, has 2 electric fans/motors behind the radiator, one has shot bearings, now car has hard time with Arizona heat (go figure!). Are the motors replaceable, if so only from Nissan? Thanks in advance, guys.

you can get just the motor from Nissan, but some aftermarket units offer the complete fan, motor, and shroud (housing/frame). i stuck with OE and bought just the motor from Nissan. AC cools very well.

depending on price you may just want to go get an electric fan from napa
some times its cheaper to get a compleat unit

autozone sells a replacement motor for about 30 bucks you just have to take the old one out and put in the new one

Well I put in an aftermarket fan (one side, removed the other side fan, it was locked up anyway)) and it comes on when the AC is running just fine, but doesn't come on when the car gets hot (but the AC is off), any thoughts why? Is there a separate fuse or relay for just the fan when the car is hot, if so where is it? Thanks in advance for any help. oldslowguy
