should be about 4 quarts. I think the fill plug is positioned at the full line so it's impossible to overfill (at least it is on the SR20, but i think the GA16 would be the same way)

yes it is so long as you fill it from the front plug and not the speedo pickup gear per the instructions from Nissan.
service data from FSM says 6 1/8 to 6 3/8 pints US.

I can't give any specific instruction because I've never worked with that tranny...
but it would be on the front of the transmission about halfway up. It will probably be about level with the bumper. you'll need some kind of funnel with a hose to fill it, you'll never fit an oil bottle in that space.
The oil should be 75w90 GL4. The commonly available GL5 is for differentials and will corrode the soft metals that compose the synchros and such.
As IanH said, its requires a little over 3 quarts (i was close!), so pickup 4 quarts.
I like Redline MT90. It's expensive and not really sold in stores, but it makes the transmission feel smoother and tighter, and has fantastic cold-weather shiftability. I don't notice any reduction in cold shifting until the temperatures get into single digits...believe me, a stiff tranny is the least of your worries when it's 3 degrees with a -30 windchill
ya thanks for the help every one its 3.2 quarts and i havge the fluids pump to make it easier and i also found the plug right where you all said it was now all i have to do is fill it after work and im ready to go
