OK, so I ran a search and didn't find the answer in this forum, but i have a 96 Sentra GXE and when i turn my fan on it doesn't work until I put it on 4 then it blows like hell. Good setting to have but I sure would like 1-3 back! lol

I'm sure it's just a fuse or something silly but can someone guide me in the right direction? Thanks.

the resistor in the blower motor will have gone, just get a new one and swap it

can you get just the resistor, or do you need a new motor?

You can just get the resistor. Mine had the same problem, it wouldn't work on 1. I just went to the junk yard, pulled it off a different car and put it in, good as new.

Thanks folks, got one from the junk yard. I'm in Canada, the cheapest new one I could find was $55 plus taxes! Still have to pay $20 at the junk yard.
