front lowering springs popping as i turn

I put in some nice 1.7 arospeeds for the car, the springs fit perfectly. Got them in, and gave it a little test drive. Everything I turn the wheel I hear a popping sound, had some friends turn the wheel while i watched the spring; seems like it jolts after so much turning distance. After this happens the alignment is skewed to the right or to the left depending on which way you turn the wheel.

I took it to a local auto alignment place, they wanted to charge about %510.00. They said the rubber inbetween the strut mounts and the spring could be the problem. As it should hold the springs in place, which is what they think is not happening.

Any help would be awesome and it could possibly save me money. o.0 thanks.

replacing a wheel bearing is something i'd have a shop do for me, taking the bearing out of the hub and pressing the new one in is a pain and a half. i think you can buy a hub and bearing assembly for not much more and then put it on yourself.

I think the 200sx is nearly identical to the sentra, the ball bearing is on the top strut mount for my 99sentra gxe.

the local shop can get one for $14, might aswell give it a shot. thanks. o.0

turns out the ball bearings werenot rotating because of corrosion, $15 per at the dealership and about 1 hour and 30 minutes to replace them.

I am also haivng the similar problem after i changed my suspension. I can hear a strange click noise once the car starts to move or at slow turns. Once it builds up the sped, the noise is gone. I let my mechanic to check for it, but everything under my car is fine. I am wondering it is the ball-joint making the noise, which I replaced both of them earlier this year.

Where is the ball bearing and what does it look like? I would like to take a look of mine. Thanks.

It is in between the upper strut mount and the upper spring mount, if that makes any sense.

It looks like a small flat donut with a lip on the inside.

this was the only picture i could find
