factory alarm goes off on battery connect
Hello!
Everytime I try to connect a battery the factory alarm goes off. I tried pulling fuses, using key fob, etc. I remember sometime ago I saw a post describing a solution to this problem by using the key to manually unlock the door or some sequence like that.
Ok I found these instructions, but could anyone clarify?
"THEFT WARNING SYSTEM DEACTIVATION
To deactivate the theft warning system, a door or the trunk lid must be unlocked with the key or remote controller with all the doors and trunk closed."
So I need to connect battery and while alarm is going off, lock all the door using the lock doors button (or manually lock each door?). Then with battery still connected open a door with a key. That should shut it up? I am asking because the car is not here and I am unable to test it for myself.
