Clutch Problem?

when the car is turned off, I can hear the squeaking noise as i shift gears. Also when I try to enter the corner with high speed, I have a bit of a hard time to shift down to 2nd gear and make the turn. The stick shift's sticks a little bit when I try to downshift to 2nd gear. (like when you try to beat the yellow light and make a left turn, your engin will rev to like 5-6rpm, and you shift to 2nd gear to slow down the car and make the fast turn?)
Does that mean I need a new clutch? or is it ok to keep driving like this? my car is 95 200sex 1.6L with 107k mile

thanks

ok what the squesking is is probably just a lack of wd40, as for shifting down are you just trying to down shift, or are you double clutching and matching rpms, if your not it may make it hard to shift down,

thanks for replying. The Squeaking is coming form the bottom of the car when it is off. And where should I aplly Wd40 on? Also, I trying to down shift to 2nd gear to slow down the car to make the turn in fairly high speed.

oh and is it true that it's time to replace your clutch at 100k mile?

Your clutch is probably running low. If you drive it hard then your clutch only last about 50K before you notice hard shifting or slipping. I just flushed tranny fluid and change clutch this weekend. Now my clutch shift so smooth and no more slipping. My car only had 94K miles on it and the lube on my clutch throwout bearing was gone. This will also cause hard shifting.

I drive a 97 sentra 5 speed as well and i had the same problem with 2nd ... if you hold the clutch down all the way down and then keep the stick positioned to second gear it will eventually shift into second gear... you just have to keep the stick there a while if it doest shift at first try
