Question windshield washer help

Today I found some washer fluid on the floor, (the washer pump seams ok and I can hear that "hummm" sound"), at fist I thought that the washer tank has some damage, but after stripping part of the frount bumper I found that the leak isnīt on the tank but on the connection between the tank and the pump... now itīs the part that I can really use some help I canīt tell if theirīs some kind of leak on the pump itself or in that silly rubber o-ring that connects the pump to the tank... should i buy a new pump? should I put some water sealant on the o-ring... I know that the windshield washer pump is cheap (even here in Europe) but the pump works... what should I do

ps. Itīs a bit hard to express myself form my mother language (portuguese) to english

First, I think you did quite well getting your point across. Not many people in the forums (even those who speak English) can speak as well as you did.

Now for the pump, I would try to find a replacement grommet to fit the hole. I haven't looked at the connection, but I'm pretty sure the pump slips into a grommet at the base of the tank. I'd try the local parts stores or dealership for a grommet before buying a new pump.

Good idea nova73guy, I´ll try to find a grommet and see if that stops the leaking... by the way today I did some phone calls and a OEM washer pump costs 45 Euros (+- 56 dollars) (here in Portugal) and a used one on a "junkyard" +- 7 dollars... if grommet does fix does not solve the problem i´ll try a used pump ... they over price the OEM parts
Cheers

Yeah, just be glad it's not CV shafts. I went aftermarket on mine because the dealership wanted over $900 just for parts. I replaced them myself for around $150. Good luck with the leak.
