Hey, I just joined the nissan club with the purchase of a black 96 200sx se-r which I ADORE! My friend got me into nissan's after showing me his S13 and driving me around in it!

Anyway I have a few questions about this car. I'm going to need good explanations on things because honestly I'm just getting into cars and I don't know nearly as much as I'd like. I was changing the oil on the car and my uncle was walking buy and asked if it was overhead cam and I felt really stupid for now knowing. Anyway bare with me please, I want to learn but it may take a lot of me asking stupid questions.

So on with the questions.

1.) fog lights don't work. I didn't notice when I first got the car but the fog lights don't work which isn't a major concern but I like my car to work. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. I'm going to have my bro take a meter to it and see if we can find where the power stops at but it would be helpful if I knew where to generally point him. Are there trouble spots with the fog lights?

FYI the engine has been replaced so it might have to do with that the previous owner swapped the original sr20 with a jdm roller rocker sr20 though the old engine worked fine. This might mean they just didn't connect something up right (it was done by a company that specializes in doing that with receipts and warranty)

2.) is it possible to do a 98 grill + headlight conversion on the 96? I really like the way the 98's little nose grill looks and how the lights swoop up into it. From what I've been reading it looks like the lights can be changed but you have to cut some stuff??? Is there a guide for doing this?

3.) What are some suggested places to buy nissan parts, both performance and replacement?

4.) keyless entry remote didn't work so I replaced the batteries and still it didn't work so I opened it up and found one of the buttons was screwed up. Where do I go to get a replacement and what do I need to do to sync it up with the car? I'm also not sure if its alarm system works or not (hasn't gone off ever), though I guess it may just not be arming without the remote though the light blinks on the tach gauge. Should I just work on getting the remote and see if a new one fixes the problem?

I'm going to be working towards putting a turbo into the car after I have some time with it to learn it better and figure out where I want to put everything to keep it looking pretty stock, so I'm going to have a lot of questions later on.
