Hello all!

I just wanted to say hi and let you know that when problems start poping up on the commuter car I will be runner here for help! Ah the search tool does wonders...

Anywho... I will soon be the new owner of a 1998 Nissan Sentra GLE. I talked about it a little bit here and this is a small qoute from a caring NissanForums member...

Oh... and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS
I don't know if I will upgrade anything... but it's just a car for getting to and from work, an 85 mile trip one way! So I will be looking forward to this forums wisdom and advice!

I will post pictures when I get them. Untill then please feel free to post your suggestions for turning this vanilla commuter into a comfy cruiser...

Thanks for your time!

As a commuter you can do alot of upgrades but the more heavily you get into it the less of a commuter it will be. I have to use my Sentra as a commuter since a 73 Chevy 4x4 with a 6.6L V8 doesnt get good gas milage but I like everyone else wants more power and better handling. Its just one step at a time. Personally I prefer to have a car that handles nice before I do engine upgrades. New springs are next.

The ga16 i.m.o.a. has plenty of power for your every day driving and even for light auto xing. i'v had mine for just over a year and it continusly (even on weekends i race) gets 29mpg (all city on a normal week, about 60mills and 2mills racing on other weeks). I just got a cat back and it sounds good. how ever if you have eny (and i mean eny) lower back problems do not drive this car over 60 milles a day the seat's eat up bad lower back's. (i'm only 18 and have lower back problumes dew to breaking it 2 times.) Only buy a stick ga16 if not ther realy will be NO power (like all small 4 bangers).

well that's my 2 cents

sorry for the spelling (to lazy to use spell check)

Thanks guys and gals!!!

Well I am in the car now... it is a black 5 speed 4 door Sentra GLE... Pretty easy to merge onto the highway...

I agree with you on the seats... They love to eat your lower back!!!

Well off I go on to the commuter history!

Take care!
