Rubber tubing on transmission?

Located to the right of the engine I have found a rubber tube connected to the transmission(automatic). The problem is, the other end of this tube as a metal tube that is curled a bit and is NOT connected to anything. I have looked but have not been able to fine anywhere to connect this piece to. Any ideas to what this could be or where it might connect to?

No need for pictures. It is a vent hose that should not be connected to anything!

Saw the same on my manual SE-R about a week ago when I was trying to get to my starter. Its rubber all the way, and curls at the end. Yup, vent. Just look around a bit, you can tell there is nothing it could have possably connected to.
