It's a lot of work, but I felt worth it in the end. (Mine was a UK 10:1 DE)

Although there are a lot of little surprises if you aren't careful.

Like he said, its a lot of work to swap out a motor but its deffinently worth it in the end. When you swap a motor, you cant swap just the block, you pretty much have to swap the whole engine bay and then some. Axles, ECU, wiring, trannsmission, and so on... If you have the time, money, and patience, go for it though.

If you don't have the money for the T do you have the money for the transmission and all of the other items needed for the swap?

I think if you have to ask, and dont have the money for it, your not ready for such an involved project.

well a basic DE swap would run you 3k + labor.. a DET swap depends on the condition of the motor, and availbe parts bout around 5k like u said. an Auto GA wont hold very much boost, so you would have to tranny swap to a manual. i would say if you want a 12 second car, its going to be cheaper if you have the SR

why, things would be way uncontrollable and you would have tq steer like a bish. I have a 13 second car, and its nice but awd helps. SRT-4's have lots of problems with tq steer and to get rid of it, you need all kinds of chasis braces.
