Im new here and need help making my 96 Sentra faster!

Hello everyone,
I am not new to the forum but I am new at posting. I need help with my car. My baby is a 1996 sentra (ka24de). Everything that is done, was done by me. As far as performance goes, I only have an exhaust and a header. When I bought my OBX header I was under the impression that it would make a drastic change in my cars speed...boy was I wrong. I think it hurt more than it helped. I want only to increase take off speed....anyone who has a 1.6 non-turbo knows that first gear sucks! I have an automatic, which I love, and I only want bolt-on products if possible. I dont want NOS or a turbo either, you can make anything fast with those. I want to get as much natural power out of my car as I can. Someone please help. Please keep in mind that I am not rich and short-cuts are welcomed.

If you find anything out apart from this site please let me know. I have a 97 gxe auto and love doing cosmetics but mechanics are not my thing. I would love to be taught but I don't know anyone. good luck.

No nitrous... no turbo.... automatic tranny... only bolt ons... Wow... you're really limited to your possibilities. Maybe you should consider "bolting in" a new motor?

Oh, you said something about a KA24DE and then said something about 1.6... You seem to be confused about what motor you have. The 1.6 is actually a GA16DE. If you had a KA24 you wouldn't be to worried about the stock power, it's quite a bit more powerful then our measley 1.6's.

If you want a more powerful motor, you'll need to save up at least $4,000 for parts to perform an SR20DE swap. More powerful motor, much larger aftermarket.

However, if you just wanna keep your 1.6. I'd recommend a Cold Air intake from HotShot. You can get one from Liuspeed, it's in the B14 section. It's been proven to add like 5 horses are something. You can also get an underdrive pulley from him.

Just so you know, the 1.6 has been proven not to make a lot of power naturally aspirated. But with a turbo you can make her decent.

I am sorry for the confusion about my motor. I had a 240sx before and it had a ka24de in it but my sentra has a ga16de. Thanks!

without goin turbo or Nitirous you will not get more than 115whp. aka, really slow.
