i'm sorry for this assinine ques. but...
i need to adjust my the rear drums on my wife's sentra. Does anybody know where,if it exists, the manual adjuster is for the '99 model.

As far as I know, they're self adjusting... There is also a dial behind the hub. Try looking there.

Pull one of the plugs on the backing plate and you should be able to access the star wheel.

i dont think mine are actually adjusting by thems self, at least on the L/H one. does this mean i need to get a new wheel cylinder?

usually not a new wheel cylinder but maybe a new adjuster. It's also possible that they just need a good cleaning.

is there anything besides brake cleaner i can clean them with? i ran out and the nearest store that sells it is like 45 mins away

You could use carb cleaner but it's awfully harsh stuff. I'd be worried about damaging something else with it while you were spraying. I'd get the right cleaner so you don't have to worry. Even your local wal-mart should have some sort of a brake cleaner that should work.

ya but my local wal-mart is an hour and 15 mins away....... its all good i wiped them down.
for future referance, does WD40 work? i thought i read that somewhere.....
