ok i wanna do my own work.. this is what i need..

i have 178k miles on my 99 sentra gxe limited edition.. i know thats alot of miles.. my mom got a new 05 sentra a month ago and gave me this to work on and use as my beater.. while i bag my truck.. well it needs cv joints(clunking sound when i turn right and left), both front rotors, brake pads, front main seal, oil pan, oil pan seal, tune up, and a window motor.. as you can tell my mom never had anythign fixed while in her possesion.. about a year ago she hit a pot hole and has a ding in her oil pan and noone will change her oil since then.. then we were told until we fix the front main seal and oil pan and oil pan seal it was pointless to change the oil because it leaks alot.. roughly we put about a quart a wk.. i will get about 500 bucks next week.. and i want to get it drivable and then do a lil minor tweaking to it.. please guide me and let me know where i can find cheap cvjoints, seals, and a oil pan.. i found the rotors, pads, tuneup, and window motor.. i just need the motor and cvjoints stuff.. please help! all good advise will be thankful.

As for CV joints don't just do the joints. They are a bitch to do. Simply replace the entire axle assemblies. Check at your local autozone, advance auto parts, napa etc to find the cost for them. ussually isn't too bad aslong as you give them the old ones for the core charge. For the seal goto a nissan dealership parts shop. The oil pan you can probably get from a junk yard pretty cheap. Or if you can't find a local junk yard goto carpart.com and that has nationwide listings for junkyards.

Yes to both. The sealant you need is RTV blue

Shot an email to the guys at Courtesy
an email. They should be able to tell you how much the seal will cost you. I also would think you would be better off replacing the oil pan with a pulled part (u-pull-em salvage yard). I personally don't think sealing such a part would be a good idea. But that's just me.

For the window motor, did you check that the switch isn't damaged? That driver's side gets a lot of action. My 96 had a broken window switch. Replaced it with a $40 eBay deal. But if you've chedked the motor, you can probably get away with an ebay replacement, or the u-pull-em yard deal too.

Sounds like you got a job on your hands!

you have no idea..

damn ive been driving it as my work beater.. as i hit 55mph, it shakes like crazy.. then at 70ish.. it eases up a bit.. how do i check the switch to my window? when it first started to die out.. it would go up very very slow and then it just died.. or it would go down kinda easy then wont move up without assistance.. so i managed to bang it until it got a lil juice and moved up close enough to move it up.. its not all the way up but i sealed it up with tape.. pretty embarrassing if you ask me. but i got a great job two weeks ago at the hospital so i should be getting some decent checks coming in soon.. so i want fix this asap.

Is it a heavy shaking or a low droning vibration? If it's the latter, you'll need a set of wheel bearings. The parts are about $80 for the 2 bearings, and 4 seals, and I paid $48 at a local machine shop to have them press fit into a spare set of spindles. Otherwise, check the tires for a bubble, or they could be out of balance, have a bent rim, etc.
As for the window, just find a new motor at either the junkyard or the dealership( although some parts stores may carry them too). It'll take about 30 minutes to an hour to change it with nothing more expensive than a 10mm and a phillips screwdriver.

try hooking up at partstrain. i think they also sell the motor alone for the window regulator.
