I know this isnt the right car for this forum but here goes anyways..
My g/f has a 94 honda accord and sometimes when the AC is running it makes this what i would describe as a whinning noise. Does anyone know what this could be?
Yup! I had the same problem last year. The A/C bearing's going out. I don't know how it would be on a Honda, but on my Nissan, I had to replace the entire A/C compressor. Have fun man.

thanks man, not the answer i wish it was i was thinkin it might be the blower motor goin bad. Oh well When u take the compressor off can you just buy one of those AC refill kits from wal-mart to fill er back up?
before you take it off, remove the belt, and fire the car up. if there's no more whine, then you know your problem. and if its r134a yeah you can refill it yourself if you have the tools to do so.
does it whine all the time? or just on occasion?

it whines just on occasion and it comes kinda from the vents or inside the car it seems thats why i thought maybe its the blower or something, but its only when AC is running u know i just thot about something if i want to Rule out the AC compressor i could just run the air without AC on....
eh man, its only when the a/c's on? you might have a (hate to recommend this, but) trusted mechanic look at everything. it might be something inside the compressor, but then again i don't know there

i dunno if its when the ac is on or not thats what im gonna check, hell man i am a mechanic, thats what i went to college for hehe. I just wanna make sure its not anything else before I start fooling with the compressor cuz i would hate to replace the compressor and hear that stupid noise still.
