Viscous Limited Slip

In a B13 or anything else for that matter, is the LSD a sealed unit?
thanx, kinda silly question.

im sorry iwas not specific, i was refering to VLSD, Viscous limited Slip. like in the 91 B13 SE-R or G50 series Q45s. is it a sealed up unit like a Clucth type diff. ? What raises this question at work we have an new BG Differential Flush/drain and fill machine. For a vehicle with a LSD use must use the LSD addative which is safe for Clutch types at least, i was trying to figure out if were also safe for a "VLSD" as well. :dumbass: thanks

In the B13 and B14, the differential is built into the transmission, and is lubricated by the transmissin oil/fluid. The viscous coupling is sealed.

Somebody is making a VLSD refill kit but involves removing the unit form the tranny and drilling/tapping a drain/refill hole. For the vast majority of people, a new unit or the Phantom Grip is a better solution.
