I think the manual transaxle fluid on my 130k mile 93' sentra has never been changed, so I read the Haynes repair manual, I bought 4 quarts of redline MT-90 and I crawled under the car, well I find out that the fill plug is a square hole, my 3/8" ratchet is a perfect fit however it won't budge no matter how hard I try, to make things worse the drain plug is larger than my 1/2" ratchet, I think it's around 5/8" (also a square hole), do I need a special tool to unscrew these suckers?

yes there are square drivers made for these types of plugs. however usually you can get away with using just a ratchet to get it out. if the plug is really stuck (as if someone used sealer on pipe thread) then you will most likely need the tool so that you dont round out the hole. remember that it is pipethread so when you replace the plug you do not need to use sealer.
