Valve Body Gasket?
Like a few others on this forum, I've got a 91 1.6 with a RL4F03A slushbox that refuses to shift from 2nd to 3rd after the car warms up. After finding that the governor is still good, additional searching here has led me to believe that I've had a high clutch burn which has deposited crap into the valve body. I found a source for cheap replacement valve bodies (Takeoffs from functioning trannies - $20 plus shipping...beats rummaging through a junkyard after a rainstorm), but am wondering if the valve body itself needs a gasket (in addition to the pan gasket). Any help for this noob would be appreciated!
