Ive seen that for the Injen CAI setup's there's an O2 sensor. When I create my own, will I need to also have one of these and if so, where do I wire it up to?

Lay off the pipe, there is no O2 sensor on the intake.
Just kidding, it is really not an o2 pipe, it is intake temp sensor.

Thats what I thought.. I heard some people talking about this and i was thinking, well, hmmm, isnt all the shit in the intake air!?? Why would you need an o2 sensor?? Intake Temp Sensor.. now that makes sense... I would imagine its fine if I ran the cai without one, right?

yeah it ill be ok you can just get a breather to cover that part(o2 temp) most of us do that unless to have the o2 attachment on the cai.

Do not disconnect the Intake Air Temp sensor. The ECU wll fire off an error and the Check Engine light will come on. In some states, you can't pass inspection with Check Engine on.

Ok maybe your not talking about the samething. If your dealing with just an CAI at no time a check engine light will come on. Im pretty sure of this. Reasearch if you dont trust me. just install a breather. Unless Im talking about something diffrent.

It doesn't matter if you have a CAI or not. If you disconnect the IAT sensor, it will trip a MIL light.
Ok, maybe you guys are getting a little confused.. I was going to make my own CAI but I was wondering if I need a temp sensor.. I mean. I was going to run piping from the MAF down the the inside of the front bumper and put my filter there. I was wondering what it takes and if i need a sensor anywhere in the piping
