Angry wierd vibration not transmition not brakes

when i accelerate or slow down everything is fine. but when i hold the gass @ say about 40-60 mph it vibrates. not in the stearing wheel but a vibration in the engine compartment. i just got this car it kinda a lemon this dealer skrewed me on it. one thing is that it leaks tranny fluid so i had it checked out @ the transmition shop they said the trannys cool and it shifts when it supposed to. the motor and tranny mounts are about 50/50. the brakes are fine. it been up on 3 lifts but this ones a mystery to everyone. has anyone else had this vibration?

Two things to try:
- Pull the spark plugs and examine them. If one is diffeent from the others it indicates a problem in that cylinder.
- While the plugs are out, check the compression in each cylinder. They should all be the same. If one is low, that could be your problem.

I just had a vibration problem in my car, if the vibration feels like it is coming from one side of the car more than the other, then it might be that your wheel bearing is out, I thought it was my brakes too, and if it is the bearing, get it replaced fast, because I messed up my hub in the process for waiting to long, hope that helps you out!
