SR20 Idea

Ok, I've been shooting for an SR20VE for a while now, but I just got an idea for a turbo SE-R and I'd like to know what y'all think. Ok, this is my idea. I'm not a big street racer but it happens sometimes and usually, for me, it's on the highway. So I was thinking of getting the JGY T25 turbo kit and upgrading the turbo to an HKS GT2835. Now, as we all know(or should know) the FWD SR20 tranny is very weak, the main culprit being 3rd gear. This was a major worry for me until I remembered about a variable boost controller. I was thinking that I could program the boost to be at about 7-9psi from 1st to 3rd gear and since the gear ratios are much lower in 4th and 5th, up the boost to around 12-15psi for those 2 gears. Imagine THAT! A decent 13.5-14.0 1/4 mi. car from a standstill, but in a highspeed race...BOOM!...I'm gone. Unstoppable high-speed power without hurting the tranny(though it will still be cryo-treated) for daily driving. And since you can set a specific RPM for boost, I can set the 4th and 5th gears to 5000rpm so as not to interfere with street driving. Well, that's it!

Good idea. BTW, you might wanna check whether the the HKS 2835 will fit the T25 manifold.

I'm pretty sure it will. It's one of JGY's listed turbo upgrades.
