Tips on painting a bumper temporarily?

im a poooor college student

after the accident, the paint kinda just chipped off my bumper. originally it was off a Sentra E and the original owner just painted over the stock gray. does anyone have any tips and a temporary paint job for the bumper that will look decent? or decent at least far away.

i know primer is a must (something the last owner didnt use) any other tips? like the type of paint to use, etc.

they sell automotive paint at shops like autozone, pepboys, kragen, etc..........for the primer, i would go to home depot and they have special automotive primer

get some sandpaper and sand the bumper down well......clean it off, primer it with at least 2 coats.....select the color spray u want.......spray at least 2 coats, and then clear coat it(remember, these instructions are not professional, just for temporary)

Go to the hardware store and buy 4-5 cans of Krylon Fusion spray paint in the color that you want. This paint is made for plastic and has flex agent in it. Make sure you clean your bumper really good first and then give it a few very light coats so that it doesn't run. This is a cheap way for you to get by until you can afford to get it done correctly. Mine has been done like this for 4 months and it still looks great. Mine is white and the color matched almost perfectly also.
