Battery Cables

Aside from a dealership, where can I get battery cables? Mine are so corroded that sometimes that won't pick up any current at all. It doesn't happen too often but it really sucks when I'm chillin' in a parking lot with a bunch of other people and the cops show up ready to hand out tickets for loitering or some dumb crap.

If you're in the parking lot and are concerned with loitering charges, go buy a soda from the grocery store in the parking lot and keep the reciept. After you have that, you're a paying customer, and unless the business has a policy stating how long a paying customer can be on their premesis then you're safe from any gung ho cop trying to give you a ticket.

Oh, and I'd try a really good wire brush and go to town on the connector, then you should be good.

Yeah, I've tried all the cleaning tricks but I think it's the metal itself. It's all pink and orange and really bad looking. Cleaning it DOES work, but I don't want to have to clean it twice a week anymore.

Just about any auto supply stores carry generic wire. All you have to to get the right lenght. If your doing the negative, there is a section you will have to strip and ground right behind the battery. If you change our your terminals don't get the plain brass ones. I made that mistake already.
