Might be somethin gummed up. I'd try puttin a tank of 93 octane with dry gas and fuel injector cleaner through the engine. It probably won't make a difference, but for a couple extra bucks I'd try it if it were me. I've had experience with cars acting like this (good old GM's...) and it's been EGR valve, O2 sensor, plug wires, even the head gasket once on a 95 cutlass, could be lotsa things.
