cluth cable replacement?

i have a 93 sentra. i cant really figure out an easy way to remove the cable housing from the firewall. there is something in front of it. that something is also hard to remove, because i cant even figure out how to do it. i don't beleive this mystery part is on the 91-92 models. because i cant find anything about it in my hanes.any help with this would be great.

i found out what the mystery part is. its the cruise control but it stillll dosent show how to remove it. any helpp please?

if anyone is curious i have figured it out. i went under the wheel well liner to remove the two bolts holding the cruise control module thingy in. after that it was cake. i guess it was a bit more simple than i thought.
