help!!! stator wire short

Help!!! I was trying to wire in a tach to my '93 sentra b13 1.6L and I accidently touched 2 of the 4 wires going into the stator. (just to the left of the distributor cap.) It was the orange and black wires if that helps. The only contacted for a second, but now my engine doesn't shut off with the key. I can only shut it off by pulling that plug. Obviously I welded a switch shut somewhere that's supposed to open when I turn the key off, but where??? I tried cutting the ignition wire going into my ignition switch while the engine was running, but it just continued to run. I'm not opposed to rigging a switch to the green wire coming off the coil if it comes to that to shut the engine off, but then the idiot lights in the dash go off so I have to pull the ground lead on the battery to turn them off. Help! What did I do and how do I fix it?

Is there some sort of start relay in that relay box under the hood. My pickup has a relay box on the right hand side fender that has the a/c blower relays, etc. in it. Perhaps there's a relay in there that got fused and stuck "on"?

Maybe. There's a few relays under the dash next to the fuse box that I still have to check. I think 3 of them are ignition relays so they seem pretty promising. I thought all the relays were behind fuses and the fuses are all find so I'm skeptical but I'll check them on my lunch break. Thanks for the advice.
