comes preoiled and sealed. and i forgot what the guy told me but it has a magnetic part in it that attracts all the lose parts in the oil and something about double filtering. he says its 12 bucks. but either way. got it for free.

and im guessing im gonna have to belive the jdm cause it does have japanesee writing on the side

Y would you want a filter that was pre-oiled???
if it sits for a few years before use, wouldn't that degrade the inside of the filter?
also--look at a stock nissan oil filter---it has Japanese writing on it too. So do the Toyota oil filters I sell every day..

I don't know---looks like a gimick oil filter just by the packaging. try it and see I guess....let me know what you think but take into account what I said earlier.
