Debate: drop the 1991 GXE for an 1978 280Z?

Well.. if anyone doesn't know yet...

I am planning on selling my 1991 Nissan Sentra GXE to buy an 1978 Datsun (Nissan) 280Z

I don't know what the hell I am doing.....
since my car has power EVERYTHING 4 doors, back seat, big trunk, and soo comfortable..

but I have been looking for months for an 280Z or ZX, and magically I found one for sale across teh street.

Its in Great Condition, with a Sunroof and Leather Interior with an rebuilt engine...

but it doesnt have POWER steering, windows, locks, mirrors, etc. Also its such an old ass car... i dunno...

I love the way it drives... but its such a HUGE difference going from my "Luxurious"GXE 1991... to an crappy.. but COOL.... 1978 old ass Datsun.

What are your guys opinions?

I plan on selling my car for about $2,300 and the 280Z is for sale for $3,800.....

anyone think it's worth it?

as a 17 year old..
my Sentra is $103 a month
the 280Z is $130 a month...

only a $17 dollar difference

Well, that's sure a tough call. I'm crazy about my Sentra, and I plan on keeping it forever - and once I'm out of college I'm going to pursue other cars, but still keep the Sentra (at least that's the plan). I just think it would be cool to have my first car that long - maybe "restore" it someday, even though it wouldn't be a tough job. Anyway - I love the 240, 260, and 280 Z cars. I actually plan on buying one as my second car when I've got the funds. They are classics - and the design is just too cool. I would say for right now to stick with your car though. It's really sweet, and plus it will be a much better daily driver for you. Wait until you can support having a collectible old (old cars take a lot of care) car along with another car. That's just my advice, but good luck with which ever choice you make.

Personally, I would go with the 280. They're great cars. And IMO, they look AWESOME. That blue one definately looks good too. Also, on your insurance...that's 17 A MONTH....17x12=204 a year. True, doesn't seem like much, but I coud buy a few things for my car for $204!! Anyways, I would get the 280 if I had the chance, but it's your call and your money. Good luck though.
