Little to no room.

All my lights in my gages in the dash have slowly been burning out and now that they are all out, i think its time to change them, i have taken all out it apart and i cant get the cluster pack to pull out enough to remove the speedo cable, i think there is only about half a inch or so of play in there, how do i get to this? anyone have in exsperience in the disaster?

Alright. The only thing that comes to mind (if you haven't already tried or unless you haven't already got your cluster out)...get under the hood and pull your speedo cable from there. Like, the connection under the hood. You're going to have to undo the speedo cable from there. It's not hard to put back in, or take out. That's the ONLY way you will get more slack on the cable to undo it from the cluster. If you have any questions let me know.

And to think all I ever did was yank really hard.
Another way to get to it is by removeing the trim piece below the steering wheel, you should be able to reach up behind and around. It's a pain but it's the only way that I can get my speedo cable reattached.
Hope this helps
Josh

Go to this website: http://www.se-r.net/electrical/change_cluster_bulb.html

It tells you step by step to change the bulbs. I did this about a couple months ago. Take your time and you will have success. Good luck.

qinsac, i was checking out your pics, are those red lenses on the front side bumper?
As well, do you have any ideas to do anthing that looks better then stock colors in that dash? Ideas are always good when doing some type of project.
