Help with my Shocks

I got a B13 (1990/1) sentra. I need to change my shocks - all 4. What is the best combination to use in terms of oil, gas or oil and gas shocks?. Any extra info will help also.

Thanks

I plan to get KYB AGX's for my car this spring along with some new springs. The KYB AGX's are pretty affordable IMO, I think you can get a set of four for around $400. I can't remember who had them cheap though. Someone around here should know.

"The Best" really depends on how much money you're willing to spend. As mentioned, you can get a set of AGXs for under $400, from p-s-t.com or highperformanceonline.com, or even a few other places. These are adjustable and cannot be beat for the money. The next step up is full coilover, Motivational or Shokek, but these are full spring/damper sets and run over $1500 for all four corners.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if the KYB GR-2s are any good? I am thinking about getting a set of those.

gr-2's are pretty much an OEM replacement for your struts but if that is what you are looking for then you would be ok. if you want a little performace out of your strut go with the AGX's.

Thanks all,

even tho the response i got are more in gear with high-performance. I just want a good, safe, everyday, weeekend adventuring type of ride. I'm no speed demon ;-)

Also part from the manufacturers, which type of shocks: oil, gas or oilNgas are best to use for the B13

6037PBB, if you have aftermarket springs go for the AGXs. since you want shocks for the daily driving I assume you have stock springs, therefore KYB GR2s are great.
