Newbie/ Fan question

Hi guys, Im new here, so please be patient with me

:P

I just bought a NX2000 and I have a couple of problems.

Ill begin with the fist one for now :P .

When I received the car, the fan was only working on 1,2 and three. So last week we changed the switch, now its working on 1,2,3 and 4. But when we put it on 4; the engine drops, the lights dim and you can hear the alternator working hard and then the fuses blow

So.. can anyone help me out ??

sounds like a short. check your wires.

Hi guys, seems like I found the problem. We disconnected the fan and plugged it directly to the battery. The motor began to smoke a bit

... so we took the motor apart and it was full of crap inside, so we decided to clean it. Now my motor is running full speed whitout the fuses blowing or the engine dropping

woohoo...

Hello everyone, i have a question bout my 94 xe, i am having a a/c,heater blower only blowing on high speed. I changed the blower switch with no avail. Im thinking it's a resistor, but not sure where to start looking.

Anybody got any ideas?

You're dead-on. Do a search on "blower fan resistor" and you should find plenty of info.
