another BBDET swap question

Ok guys, im sure youve heard these questions a million times, but here it goes. I'm planning to do a BBDET swap into my 93 nissan sentra SE-R. MY question is, will all of the heater hoses and radiator hoses, alonw with all of the belts, and spark plug wires from my sr20de fit onto the BBDET. Ya see i work at autozone part time so i can go ahead and get the parts for my car to begin my transformation.

By the way, have you guys checked out ebay, man they have some deals on jdm sr20de's and the BBDET engines. most all of them are like under 40,000 miles. the N/A engines run for like $575-$800 and the Forced Induction engines (BBDET) run for like 1,200. I don't know about you but i think thats a deal....

THanks for answering my questions

You get what you pay for though. It might be worth it to pay more and get a good warranty. www.kwcengine.com has a 12K mi./12 Mo. warranty on the engines they sell, the best I've ever seen for JDM engines. Something to consider I guess. What are these Ebay sellers charging for shipping though? If it's well over $100 they're adding to your engine price and hiding it in the "Shipping" cost. A guy I met bought a JDM SR20DE for under $350 shipped from KWCengine last year, and that's with that warranty I mentioned.

I don't believe that the plug wires will interchange. From what I've read about the DET,it uses a coil on plug ignition and an ignitor box(which interchanges with a US Q45) while the DE uses a conventional distributor and plug wires. You need a different ECU and wiring harness to use it too because of all the differences in the computer's systems. I'm not saying my knowledge is perfect about this,so make sure you do LOTS of research about these engines before you delve into this. If it were me,I'd get a complete front clip so you can see just how it all goes together.Plus then you know that you have all those little brackets and black boxes that will be required to make the thing run.Good Luck!

Oh,and one more thing, this swap is NOT smog legal if this affects you.

Just asking, what's a BBDET swap.
Is it a spelling mistake for RBDET.

...not to mention the GTi-R motor has a bigger interheater and I think it has stronger rods and maincaps. Keep in mind the GTi-R was originally designed as a rally motor and then put into production. If I could have found one, I would have got it before I purchased the BB motor...but it was much more in price when I was checking...not sure now.

Either can be made SICK.

Professional badass...lol

...not really...the top mount acts more like an interheater than an intercooler. Speaking from experience of course. I'm sure it's more efficient if the Sentra had a scoop like the GTi-R.

A FMIC is much more efficient...nothing you don't already know.
