Cold air intake

OK so I ahvent been able to find anything for the B13 or 14 series that isnt 200+. I have decided to make my own CAI from the short ram I got from ebay. Has anyone done this with piping( IE not home depot gutter extenders, have used those before) Im thinking of just going to oreileys and using there piping. Had to buy a silicon adapter for the short ram already.

Just wondering if anyone had any bends or needs I might not think about.

I made my own using a K&N drop-in. I replaced the resonator; the junk that was in the fender well; canisters; baffles; sound deadeners and etc.) and used a Dodge tailpipe (was a Dodge fleet mechanic for a spell) that just happened to fit the angles so that it grabs cold air from the wheel well and fits properly to the air filter housing...not quite what you have, buy u get the idea.

Yeah I have done close to that. I had a stealth that I used a conical filter that had a 6 inch to 3 inch HVAC adapter that was connected to the back of the filter. Used the gutter extension from home depot and routed it to the front of the car. Kinda a cold air/ ram air.
Worked good but dont have that car anymore. I bought the tubing from orieleys but it was gonna cost 50 just for that. Took it back and am just ordering a cheapy from ebay. Will piece it together with that.
