New blower switch=no A/C LED!

Hi, all! I'm sorry to bother y'all again, but I'm no mechanic and you guys (and gals?) seem to know everything!

I just replaced the blower motor switch--and the person on this forum who said it was "relatively painless" was right about "relatively". Not only was the connector melted to the switch, but the switch itself was melted to the inside of the a/c control unit. It took a little help from a ball-peen hammer to get the switch out (in pieces), but I did it without breaking the little plastic tabs that hold the new switch in!

Now the blower and a/c seem to work fine--Who's the man? ME, that's who!--except for one little problem: the little green LED that's supposed to light up when the A/C is on doesn't come on.

What did I do wrong?

Let me know what you figure out, the light in my AC button has never worked. Kinda wish it did though!

Did your A/C work before?

your ac works right? it is just a light problem..... (thats more of a question) if it is a illumination problem, (i've never done it) but see if there is a bulb in there. was the light working before? go to the yard and find another switch, those things are "pocket" size, (i know Jay is not a big fan of junk yard switches

) but it could be a very inexpensive trouble shooting isolation procedure. all else fails. the blower is working on all speeds and you have ac,,, screw the light.....

just not a fan of junkyard blower switches in B13's because they all tend to melt but hey, thanks for remembering. Thats impressive.

I'd say go for a junkyard a/c switch though.
