There would be a huge number of problems with trying that. First off, you'd have to switch out pretty much everything. Engine, transmission, rest of drive-train, computer, etc etc. Also, you'd have to manufacture a mounting system to hold the smaller engine in the larger engine bay. Plus then you'd have an engine that's underpowered for the vehicle. Maybe it's theoretically possible if you had a precision machine shop, a degree in automotive engineering, and a great deal of time, but I wouldn't dream of trying that myself.
