AC Compessor Help

I just got a smaking brand new compressor for my car (I use AC) and compared to the old compress it is the same but the pully on the new one is larger than the old one. Can the pullies be swapped out? I have looked through the FSM and see a section about clutch replacement, but all i want to do is swap the pully.

Any help?

if this can be done, anyone got an idea on the procedure?

thanks in advance.

Jake

the compressor was for 91-94. I know my car is a 95 but,,,, all the parts i get for it come from the 94 side, not 95........ Like i said the compresser (body) is identical to the one in the car now, its just the pully is of differnt size.

thanks for the compliment on the front end, i would have like the "grill" style better but the nubbs look ok.

well I'm sure the pulley can be switched somehow, but wtich all the clutch stuff in it, it might not be so easy... the AC has its own pulley and tensioner, is the new pulley so big that you cant run the tensioner all the way up and get the belt on? I know on mine, I have the tensioner pretty far down.

Looking at the clutch dissasembly section, you might be able to swap the pulley, but unless the compressors are the same model and brand, the old pulley might not fit on the new compressor.
