Need help!! NX power windows conversion

good day..

hello from downunder (Australia) to all!!

I'm posting this for my brother in taiwan, he bought a 93' NX without power windows option, and now he is consider to have a power windows conversion, does anyone done this or something similar before or can give him a hint? Does this conversion involved a complex operation? or there are factory kit can add on? sorry for too many questions..

He contacted Nissan Taiwan without success, consider nissan taiwan does not import this model nor even know what model my brother talking about..

well, good luck to us..

I'd say look around in junkyards for power windows or online used parts places for '93 NX power window motors, actuators, and switches. Aftermarket kits are typically way overpriced and I wouldn't recommend going that route. The most time consuming part is doing the wiring, and most people don't do this right. Additionally, hooking up to get power from the battery is time consuming and should be done carefully. I'd try to use the OEM fuse location in the fuse panel. If not, run all the way to the battery and use a keyed relay so the windows only operate when the car is on.

I looked into this a while back. I found a power window/locks kit from JC Whitney for about $300 plus, but I never followed through with it.

If you want power windows in a 2 door b13 you can just get the motors from a 4 door b13 and retro fit your cables, but if you're going to put a kit in, go to www.spal-usa.com and order one of their kits direct from them, they're the most inexpensive I've seen and they're a pretty decent setup. You have to order switches seperate and they've got illuminated ones.

Taiwan

Hey CP917! Welcome to the board! I think we'd all love to see some taiwanese nissans - start a new thread and tell us about the scene!
