Cruise Control losing power

1993 Nissan Sentra SE. Recently the cruise control started losing power. I can set the cruise at any speed from 65mph to 80mph and it will drop slowly till it reachers 60mph. When it hits 60 mph it will only stay there a few moments and then it will go into overdrive to try to get back to the speed that it was set at before it dropped, but it never makes it. Does anyone have any idea? Before this it worked fine. I had this car shipped across US and then this problem began.

I have this problem in my 94 LE. I suspect it's a vacuum leak, probably a dryrotted hose somewhere, allowing vacuum to leak and drop pressure the servo uses to hold the throttle. it seems very logical anyway. haven't actually checked it yet, but in my other sentra, a 94 XE, a lot of the vacuum hoses were dryrotted (although the cruise works perfectly.)

let me know if you find anything different.

I am not certain, but I believe there is a speed control box. On my other car it is actually located in the trunk! I would check for any obvious problems then replace that part.

Speed Sensor
Cruise Control Actuator
Cruise Control Module
Cruise Control Relay
Cruise Control Vacuum Pump $0?

Looks like some expensive parts, good luck man.

Fixed the cruise problem

The problem was a loose vacuum line. I made sure all the vacuum lines were tight and secure and check for cracks. I took the care for a ride and the problem was solved! Thanks for your help.
