you guys ever have trouble with the locks on the nx's? mine has simulated electric locks becuase when i lock and unlock the other one follows but you have to press it manually. Anyway the driver side will not lock but the passenger side does. I have had the door off, but didn't see the culprit.
I had an 88 maxima with the same problem. pushing the lock lever down locked all the doors, and pulling the lock button back up was SUPPOSED to unlock all the doors. well it didn't. and it had a factory alarm system that didn't disarm either.
anyway, I did some tracing and pinpointed it to the key lock/switch in the outside of the door handle. turning the key one way locked that door and activated a set of contacts to lock all the doors and arm the security system. turning the key the other way unlocked that door and was SUPPOSED to activate another set of contacts to disarm the security system and unlock all the other doors electrically. turns out that set of contacts to unlock/disarm was worn out. it could have been fixed, but I really didn't wanna switch and swap parts.
I'm not exactly how the locks in the pulsar/NX series nissans work, but I'd venture to say it's probably the same.

Thoughts?
Is the door sagging or no problem with it. Sagging door is common in sentra and it may cause the door not to lock

nope no sagging that would affect the locks. there is a bit of different in closing the door with the windows fully up, or if they are down a bit but this is, I think just a worn out system. Probably going to have to have it replaced, but didnt' know if it was something that i could do or if it was a bit more difficult. I am not a good mechanic, i do the small stuff like plugs and things.
the drivers side door sags in my 94 LE. it's annoying as hell. how is this fixed? do I have to replace the hinges or the bushings?
Mines is also like that, they say you gotta replace the hinge only but I didnt bother doing it yet. It is really annoying but my laziness is more effective

but I'm tired of having to slam the door in order for the little red light to go off on the instrument panel, and the sound of wind coming in at highway speeds is pretty annoying too.
I guess I could just slam the door shut, seal it closed, keep the window open, and enter and exit the car dukes of hazzard style.
