1993 Nissan NX Special edition

Hey guys and gals,

First post so i need to explain the situation. I have a 93 nissan NX, no one carries the parts for this thing becuase they say it was made in Japan so everything has to be special ordered (like CV joints and boots that were replaced). Anyway, it's an Automatic, but still has some get up and go. Is there anything that i can do to kick up the speed and power a bit?

I was thinking of maybe putting in some type of chip (if available), but not sure if i can. Also, i would love to put some type of exhaust but i don't want the fat pipe to sound like a mad bee hive coming (no offense to those that have it).

Is there anything that i can do? Please keep in mind that i don't have alot of experience with cars, i am a puter techy, so keep it simple.

Thanks,

Big_spring

You have many options. Check out http://www.sentra.net/ as a starting point. The NX 1600 is based on sentra's GA16 and the NX2000 is based on the SE-R's SR20. Even though it is made in Japan, you should not have trouble getting any of the stock parts because the Sentra is fairly common - although some body parts will be harder to find.
After Sentra.net, read the forum here and www.sr20forum.com to fill out your knowledge base. They have a forum devoted to the NX2000. Searching is good, too.
Enjoy.

just go all the way right away, swap a sr20det and a manual transmission into it. Do a search here and on sr20forums.com and you'll find all the info you need

There isnt a chip made for the SR20 motor. Jim Wolf Technology reprograms your ECU for you, but waste of money if your completely stock. Autopart stores carrie NX parts...there the same as the Sentra SE-R parts. Goto the sr20forum.com and SEARCH before asking any question, cause you will get flamed and made fun of
