well recently i bought a 91 sentra se.. for $100 only prob... needz a head gasket.. well the next morning when i felt bored and moved the car i noticed a redish oily substance on my driveway.... i think is tranny fluid but the tranny is on the drivers side... and the redish oily substance waz on the right side where the only thing i can think of is the power steering...i dont know i need some feedback and suggestions
If you have an automatic check the two small hose connections at the bottom of your radiator. Clean the bottom splashguard and tighten the two hose clamps... I found the two small hose clamps loose a couple of times.
Check the power steering fluid level and inspect and clean the P/S hose and the P/S pump. Start your engine and turn the steering wheel all the way from one side to the other side and repeat this a few times then stop the engine and inspect the P/S hose again.
i gotta automatic... well i dunno if i should start the car the person who had it sayz it needs a head gasket.. and my friends tell me not 2 start it up...but thanks on the help
You could start the engine for a couple of minutes, just don't let it warm up... but like you said I think you should reconsider your priorities and take care of the head gasket first.
yeah good idea but i dunno if it's a pain in the ass with this car.... coz i really wanna do it on my own... but dont wanna end up with 4 screws left over
