knocking ... not good
ok 1991 sentra se-r i have this cold start knock that goes away when i drive less than a mile ... i use mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 ... oil change every 3000 miles mobil 1 m1-103 filter ... 74w90 fully synthetic gear oil in the manual transmission ... the car has 161,xxx miles ... all new tuneup parts w/ ngk wires/ ngk platinum plugs/ oem cap and rotor / new air filter etc ... i take care of this car. i am thinking that it is a bearing going bad ... just a thought ... it also makes me think it could be part of the timing because it idles really rough ... maybe too far advanced ?? just though id drop a thread here to see if anyone had any other ideas
