1st problem---Ok my car makes this ticking noice when the clutch is out but after i push the clutch in it stops what is this i am thinking it is the throwout bearing. It also makes the noise if the car is off and i jack up the car and try and turn the wheel.
2nd problem----When i shift in 3rd or 5th the tranny never catches a gear so it just grinds but in 3rd in sometimes catches but it is pop out of gear and contiue to grind. Any thoughts.
I was thinking i might have a bad tranny and throwout bearing but i dont know.

It sounds like some tranny problems frome here . Its probably going to get worse .If it is and you have to change it then you should go ahead and replace the clutch since you already have everthing out.
How does the pedal feel?
Does the clutch slip?
Is there a lot of freeplay in the pedal?
Look at the motor and tranny mounts. I bet there shot ass hell.

I'm just a monkey. I don't know shit.
In the white SE-R when the AMG benz did the ricer fly by on 408 :)
but it may be time for a new tranny. the B13 SE-R had some issues with its tranny. 3rd gear is undersized and therefore weak, and 5th does have a tendency to pop out. a typical tranny rebuild costs about 1500 bucks. while they're in there, i'd suggest having it cryotreated, so it'll hold up better.
as for the clicking ,i have no idea. if it was one way or the other, i'd be able to say...

Your clutch cable needs adjusting. It is too low. It is probally time for a new cable as well....probally stretched out and binding....I wrote a complete article on this on the SR20 forums.... http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread....g+clutch+cable

I think it is time for a new tranny, clutch and mounts. Today i was driving around and I lost 3rd, 4th and 5th gear like when i shift it goes into the slot for each gear but there is nothing there at all. But sometimes it will let me shift into 5th so what is that about? This car is so confusing. Think i need a new tranny or just mounts and a clutch? Or maybe change the fluid. What screwed it up today is i drove over a huge bump and then i went to shift to 4th and it was gone.
