my car is 93' Sentra XE. When I bought it from previous owner, the radio is already broken but the cassette player is still working. The problem is I can not retract the antenna since the radio is broken. Can anyone tell me it there any way I can retract the antenna when the radio is dead? Can I do it by myself or Where can I get someone to do it? How much money will that cost?

If its a factory Nissan radio and the radio is not on but the antenna is still up then the actual antenna is most likely the problem.Wow im sitting here thinking of all the diffrent possibilities... it depends on if the antenna/radio are factory or aftermarket, then differnt manufacturers have differnt ways, so the first thing i would suggest is to look and make sure there is not a manual up/down switch for the antenna somewhere in the car or on the radio. Next i would physically locate the antenna motor , once there you could unplug it and try reversing the polarity( depends on how many wires are in the plug) of the motor to get it to go down.
